Like a Reese’s, but better. And made in your kitchen. These layered bars are a dreamy combo of creamy peanut butter and smooth chocolate. No oven, no hassle — just chill, slice, and devour.
Ingredients
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp coconut oil (or butter)
Instructions
- Make the base. In a medium bowl, mix 1 cup graham cracker crumbs, ½ cup powdered sugar, 1 cup creamy peanut butter, and ¼ cup melted butter. Stir until fully combined into a thick, soft dough.
- Press and chill. Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper. Press the peanut butter mixture evenly into the pan. Pop it in the fridge to firm up for 15–20 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips with 1 tbsp coconut oil (or butter) in 20-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
- Top and chill. Pour the melted chocolate over the chilled peanut butter base. Smooth it out with a spatula. Chill in the fridge for at least 1½ hours, or until completely set.
- Slice and serve. Once firm, lift the bars out using the parchment. Slice into squares or rectangles. Store in the fridge, and try not to eat them all at once.
