Tender chicken pieces tossed in a garlicky, spicy honey glaze — pan-fried to golden crisp perfection. It’s bite-sized boldness made for weeknight wins or party plates.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp oil (for frying)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to heat preference)
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Coat the chicken. In a bowl, toss the chicken cubes with 2 tbsp cornstarch, ½ tsp salt, and ¼ tsp black pepper. Make sure every piece is coated — this gives you that golden, crispy finish.
- Fry it up. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a nonstick or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken in a single layer. Cook 3–4 minutes per side, until crispy and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Make the sauce. In the same pan, melt 1 tbsp butter. Add 4 cloves minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Pour in ¼ cup honey, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sriracha, and 1 tbsp rice vinegar. Stir and let it bubble for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Toss and glaze. Add the cooked chicken back into the pan. Toss to coat every bite in that sticky, spicy honey garlic glaze. Let it sizzle for another minute to soak up all the flavor.
- Serve hot and garnish. Transfer to a plate and top with 1 tbsp chopped green onions and 1 tsp sesame seeds if you like a little crunch.
